Rules for Oral Presentations:

The time allowed for each oral presentation is eight minutes and there will be a further two minutes for discussion.

Please keep strictly to the time limit so that the programme can run smoothly, according to schedule. The chairpersons are instructed to take care that speakers keep to the time allotted and if necessary may stop the presentation. Also, to make sure there are as few delays as possible, speakers are requested to take a seat in the front row of the conference hall before the beginning of each session.

Compatible PCs will be available for presentations. Please note that it will not be possible to show slides, there are no slide projectors.

Individual laptops are not provided. Please hand in your presentation at the Preview Centre on CD/DVD or USB-stick at least two hours before the session. This will also give you the opportunity to test your presentation once more. Presentations scheduled for the first morning sessions should be handed in the day before.

We guarantee data protection and all presentations and/or files will be deleted after the congress.


Rules for Poster Presentations:

Each poster will be given a number corresponding to the number of the posterboard on which it is to be put up.
Poster presenters will receive an information leaflet on registering on which they will find the number. In addition, there will be a list of authors, in alphabetical order, next to the posterboard with the corresponding number.

Required size of poster = 90 x 120 cm (in vertical format)

Times for putting up poster:

Wednesday 14 September 2011: 16.00 - 19.00
Thursday 15 September 2011: 07.00 - 10.00

All posters must be removed by 13.00 on Saturday 17 September at the latest.


Badges, Certificate of attendance, CME/EACCME credits, DFP:


Participants will receive name badges, certificate of attendance and certificate of CME/EACCME credits when registering at the congress.
The 9th European Craniofacial Congress 2011 has been accredited by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME) to provide the following CME activity for medical specialists:
The ECC 2011 is designated for a maximum of 15 European CME credits (ECMEC).

For participants from Austria: The ECC is designated for 30 DFP.

Climate:


In Salzburg in September the average temperature is 16ºC. In general weather in September is unpredictable with showers as likely as bright sunshine, so it is worth packing for all temperatures.

Currency:


The official currency in Austria is Euro (€). All major credit cards are accepted in shops, hotels and restaurants. ATM’s are widely available.

The electricity power supply in Austria has 220 Volt (European standard plug)

Insurance:


The conference organizers cannot accept liability for personal injuries sustained or for loss or damage of property belonging to congress participants or their accompanying persons, either during or as a result of the congress. You are advised to take out your own travel insurance.

Internet:


Free WLAN will be available at the venue. You will be given access details on registering. In addition, two internet terminals will be available free of charge.

No Smoking Policy:


Smoking is prohibited inside the whole congress area.

Official language:


The official language of the congress is English. No simultaneous translation will be provided.

Photographer:


An official photographer is present during the congress. By registering you agree to have your picture taken.

Preview room:


A preview room is available for all speakers and chairs to check their audiovisual presentations.

Rules of Photography and Video Taping:


No cameras or other recording devices are permitted within the congress halls.
